Add power, not weight

Yamaha’s new four-cylinder, four-stroke F200A and F200B are the lightest 200-hp four-stroke outboards on the market. Weighing in at an industry leading 221kg, the F200 in-line 4 cylinder is 50kg lighter than the F200 V6 model it supersedes, which made it the go-to option for boaters looking to replace smaller horsepower or larger V6 outboards for increased performance and efficiency. Sporting a slim-line cowl, the F200A and F200B is ideal for twin engine applications, which in turn can dramatically reduce overall weight on the transom.

The all-new F200 outboard engine offers the power of the previous F200 V6, but in a smaller, lighter, smarter and more efficient package. The F200A has the same engine as the F200B, but comes standard with Command Link Plus - Digital Electronic Controls (DEC) and is fully compatible with Yamaha’s ground breaking High-Definition Command Link Display (6Y9), allowing boaters the ability to actively monitor the critical boat systems and performance of multiple outboards all from the one screen. Both models are YCOP® compatible and can be rigged to external NMEA 2000® compatible displays or analogue gauges using a gateway device.

With an in-line four-cylinder configuration, Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) and weight-saving technology used, the new engines produces a healthy 200HP while remaining the lightest in its class. Improved fuel-efficiency as well as better performance means the light weight F200A and F200B is suited to a broader range of boats.

Similar to the revolutionary 4.2L V6 outboards, the new F200A and F200B are unbelievably smooth and quiet, due to the newly developed counter balance shafts for vibration-free, quiet boating. Both models have been engineered to operate the newly-redesigned Reliance Shift Dampener System (SDS) Propeller for smooth shift and vibration-free operation.

With practicality in mind, the F200A and F200B features a newly designed 50-amp alternator which offers a 13 percent increase in charging power during idle, and the popular Variable Trolling Switch (VTS) system; allowing fishermen the opportunity to get the most out of their adventures.

The new F200 plays host to a wide range of industry leading options developed by Yamaha including; the Y-COP (Yamaha Customer Outboard Protection) anti-theft system and engine tilt-limiter. With these innovative features in mind, the F200 inline-four family sits firmly alongside Yamaha’s top-of-the-range V6 (4.2L) and V8 offshore outboards.

For the staff at Ballina Marineland, boating is not a job — it’s a lifestyle!

Their motto is ‘we live it, we love it, we do it’. And indeed they do — included in the staff are people who have been a boat builder ,a professional fisherman and there’s a couple of mad-keen fishos there too.

Ballina Marineland has been a business synonymous with boating in Ballina since 1982.
Ken and Kim Fitzgibbon bought Ballina Marineland in 2000. For Ken, a boat builder, it was the perfect choice. For Kim, a dental nurse, it was something entirely new, but she’s found the transition to a marine business a pleasure.

Their commitment to their customers is simple: To provide quality
